Immunization Policy

Bear Pond Family Medicine & Pediatrics follows the vaccine schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), but we strive to work with parents as much as possible if alternative schedules are desired.

Our Immunization Philosophy

We believe that all children should receive the recommended vaccines and they are vital to your child’s health. They not only protect your child from deadly diseases like meningitis, measles, hepatitis, whooping cough, flu and others, but they also protect other children your child comes into contact with.

Vaccines are safe and effective in preventing disease in children and young adults. Please realize that you will be required to sign a “Refusal to Vaccinate” acknowledgement in the event of any delays.

We are happy to discuss any concerns you may have regarding vaccines at your child’s next visit.

We follow the vaccination schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
